Message from our President – Jim McMichael

Welcome, and thank you for visiting our woodworker’s site. We have members from all over the greater Washington D.C. region range. Our skills vary dramatically. Some members are just thinking about their first woodworking project while others have been making projects from wood for decades. I hope that you take a look around our web site and I think that you will have a pretty good idea of what we are all about. This guild is about sharing information on how to make something, how to execute a technical skill or where to go to get wood. Everyone needs help understanding some things, and we are all opposed to wasting money buying the wrong things. Most meetings feature a speaker. Some of our speakers are guild members, and some are invited speakers that have a particular skill. The meetings are lively, informative and interesting. I invite you to come to one of our meetings as a guest to see for yourself how friendly and helpful woodworkers are. Members have access to an extensive DVD library related to woodworking.

Sometimes we have other learning sessions at someone’s shop or a wood store. It is informative to see how others work, and what they have made. If members have a question or a problem, they can bring it to a meeting. We love these sorts of things.

Be our guest at an upcoming meeting and bring a friend. I hope we see you there.

Meeting Date: Third Tuesday of the month (No meeting in August)

Time: 7:30 PM

Where: Goodwin House

3440 Jefferson Street

Falls Church, VA 22041
